As FARR Frameworks has become ubiquitous with framebuilding tooling we’ve spun off the actual design and build of custom framesets under the brand MOONRAKER Cycles. MOONRAKER has two meanings for us. First its a road in one of my favorite places on the Northern California Coast. California is our home and something speaks to us about its rebellious western counter culture. You’ll see it in our designs and the way we think about what a bike should or could be. Second - the MOONRAKER or sometimes referred to a moon sail is the upper sail on the center mast of a sail boat (this is why triangles - an abstract representation of this - show up on the frames). A bicycle makes the world feel vast & unexplored again. So like the explorers, wanderers, or travelers of old set sail and discover your surroundings.
MOONRAKER 1
The ultimate excursion & mix-surface machine. Somewhere between a rigid mountain and all-road bike. Details include custom machined rings for the 44mm headtube to transition perfectly to the CK headset, a custom CNC machined seat tube binder, CNC machined bronze top cap with the MOONRAKER logo, and Titanium headtube badge custom anodized to match the paint scheme.

S&S PUDDLE JUMPER
I built this bike to take with me when I travel overseas. It was built to be a light and fast road machine geometry leaning more towards the racing side of road cycling. The front triangle was machine mitered and a mix of fillet brazed and lugged construction while the back end was all hand mitered and fillet brazed. Details include custom caps for the 44mm headtube, a hand carved seat tube sleeve and lugged bottom bracket as well as S&S couplers.
